Pubs and bars to visit while in Tokyo.
I will update this list all the time.
To start with, I have a reciprocal arrangement with one of the most popular Irish Pubs in Tokyo. It is called 'An Solas' and it is the only IRISH OWNED Pub in Tokyo. There will probably be some good sessions there around the time of the RWC. https://www.facebook.com/AnSolasIrishPub/

Will work on developing these blog pages at quicker pace now
I have just begun networking this blog page with other Irish Rugby Blogs. Therefore I can expect to get more traction with visitors to it very soon. If you have just landed on this blog from one of those other blog's links, don't be disappointed, I will be developing those unfilled pages quite steadily now over the next month or two, now that I have nearly finished making all my own reservations.
One Year To Go!
Today we are exactly one year away from the opening game of the 2019 Rugby World Cup. So I have re-doubled my efforts to sort my accommodations sorted before availability starts to become a big problem. Thankfully I have now the first two thirds of my three week trip sorted!
In planning my trip I had a few online travel guide blogs open, google map of Japan, and the following very helpful links. Rugby World Cup 2019--Host Cities Guide

Well, I am definitely going. The tickets and flight are booked--- Roll on September 2019!
Ole! Ole! Ole! (or whatever the Japanese equivalent is)
''We're all part of Joe Schmidt's Arrr-my''---- ''Selling Cockles and Muscles'' and ''Low lie the fields--''
I nearly forgot---- ''The Craic is mighty in the Paddy Fields of Japan''
Seriously though, I am starting to get excited all ready. But I need to focus on the planning. I have the Japan Rail Pass, but more hotels or other accommodation needs to booked. Also suss out the best places to eat-- and drink! I have come across some handy tips and advise on other travel blogs and websites. I will pass these on to you later.
I really started this blog so that travelling Irish fans could help each other out and maybe hookup for a drink or two while we are over there. I have never toured to a major overseas sports event before, so I do not know how we all manage to find the same places to hang out. Any tips from experienced travelling fans appreciated. I will pass links to various online sources of information on, rather than reproduce all the info here. Hope to post lots of photos and funny stories. Oh yes, -- and 'COME ON IRELAND!
Messages and contributions welcome.
